Refresh hepatitis vaccination?
Hello everyone,
I have a question about vaccinations against hepatitis.
I received the first dose (hepatitis B) at 3 months of age, the second one month later, and the third vaccination another 8 months later. Therefore, as far as I understand, I am considered fully vaccinated.
My question: Would I need to get vaccinated again after such a basic vaccination? (I'm currently 26 years old)
Or does one remain immune for the rest of one's life due to basic immunization?
I look forward to your answers and would like to thank you in advance.
Best regards
You’re not protected for a lifetime. You can also just Googlen, you point 😉
Google says a lot, unfortunately, on the side of the RKI even says that some people can be immune for a lifetime, while others say that the target is about 10 years and you should refresh.
10 years is also the indicative value. In most cases, people outside the healthcare system are no longer revaccinated.
The tits become weaker in the course of life. No problem for people with no risk.
