Reflux, does anyone have the same problem (experiences)?

Hello everyone, I am 25 years old male and since I was 18 I have suffered from reflux (stomach acid belching).

I've tried many medications, exercise, and dietary changes to no avail. The last option now is surgery.

Does anyone have similar experiences?
If so, how did you get it under control?

Thanks!

I had reflux through slippery stomach, always lay on the same side and so.

Since I have more seats than lying, I have Reflux only if I produce a lot of gastric acid, e.g. by a lot of seasoned food, a lot of potato pots or what else provides for increased acid production.

Fanta, Cola, Sprite and O Juice rather in small amounts, more on water.

I can now again get quite normal coffee drinking without reflux or heartburn.

Got it. Watch your diet. Little acid, no coffee. No alcohol. Much vegetables, rice and potatoes. Tea, water.

I got Pantoprazol 40mg for 6 months from the doctor 4x daily. Hammer dose.

In the meantime, I only take 1x 40mg every day and get very well with it.

If you’re looking for your diet and are well-medicated, you’ll get that under control.

Happy!

I’ll take pantoprazole, and I’ll be fine with it. Take care of your diet, make best a diary with everything you take to you and when you feel bad, so find out what you do well and what you do not.

Yeah, I got the Barrett Syndrome and my esophagus is so etched that it’s the last stage of esophagus cancer. Pantoprazole is very good. If it deteriorates again, there is only one OP in question.

Let it go if nothing else helps.

It’s bad if the gastric acid gets up the esophagus. Sometimes it’s not a problem, but it shouldn’t be often. The mucosa of the esophagus can thereby be damaged. There are drugs that inhibit gastric acid formation.

And to sleep, you should put the head of the bed a bit higher, then not so much acid comes up.

Let’s give you some advice on nutrition. The wrong diet can also lead to heartburn. It was too many candy with me, and then I had some sodburn. Pantoprazole 20 mg had helped me, I need them very rare.

Another idea: Could it be that the gastrician doesn’t close completely? And the gastric acid therefore also rises at little eating/trinks?

Or would a diaphragm break be possible? This could also cause these complaints.

A friend had this time (weight 78 kg at 1.82 m). The doctor had advised him to take 2-3 kg, then the stomach would have more space. He helped.

Good improvement

This should be clarified by a gastric reflection. Your doctor should advise you. It was a tummy break with me. It was fixed surgically (Fundoplicatio, minimally invasive). Since then I have no more problems with Reflux.
