Consequences of reduced bone metabolism?

I'm still relatively young and had osteoporosis when I was around 20. I'm often still osteopenic. I also had broken ribs back then. My current ß-cross-lap bone metabolism value shows that it's too low! It's actually elevated in osteoporosis, isn't it? But a bone metabolism that's too low isn't good either, is it?

I also keep getting bone marrow edema, sometimes lasting for years.

So reference is 150-635 and my value is minus 139

Yes, it has the result that your bones are brittle and you have to go through multiple surgery.
