Redox reaction without oxygen what is that help?
In 2 weeks I have to hold my gfs about redox reaction without oxygen in chemistry and I have absolutely no idea what that is, I can't find anything on google, can someone please help me briefly explain what it is, what it does
Although the name of oxygen/oxygenium originates, the meaning of the term has been expanded almost in two stages.
Oxidation = electron output, reduction=electron recording.
Since no electrons are exchanged in molecules, an oxidation number or even step for each atom is defined.
Increase of the ox number=oxidation, reduction of the ox number=reduction.
This is actually also true in every middle stage of ChemistryBook and also in Wiki.
Look at the reaction of iodine with thiosulfate.
