  1. 2300+1250 = 3550
  2. 1250/3550 = 0,3521 = 35,21%
  3. 2300/3550 = 0,6479 = 64,79%
  4. Applying % set to deposit amount

Your friend: 1,200 € * 64,79% = 777,48 €

You: 1,200 € * 35,21% = 422,52 €

I’d just take 10%, so from your friend’s salary 230, from your 125 euros. That would be 355 euros together. If this is too little on the common account, take a multiple of the 10% (e.g. 20% = 710 and 250 or the 1.5 compartment, goes with calculator ratz fatz). If you are too much, 5% will take half of 10%, i.e. 115 and 62.5 euros.

I would take 35 % for 1200 euro expenditure = 805 + 437,5, then there is also a reserve for unmarried common AUs.

The obvious answer seems to be a division of income, which others have already explained. But you didn’t say what’s “fair” for you. The income tax is not as “fair” as in the answers here, but the higher earning pays more in proportion. So with you maybe 3:1 instead of about 2:1 proportional to the reward.

Yeah, if that suits you like that, I’ll be right. I just wanted to point out that it could be different.

2300 + 1250 = 3550
2300 / 3550 * 100 = 64,8
1250 / 3550 * 100 = 35,2
2300 * 64,8% = 1490,40
1250 * 35.2% = 440

Three or the simplest percentages? Seriously?

1200€ are 422,54 for you and 777,46 for him.
