Read receipt for email?

Hey, my new landlord always writes at the end of his emails that I should send a read receipt.

("Please send a read receipt. Due to the burden of proof and recent case law, recipients who do not send confirmations will no longer be able to participate in our email traffic and will be blocked.)

The thing is, I use Apple Mail and I don't know if I would even see a field if he actually set it up to automatically request a read receipt.

Otherwise, I would assume that he has not activated the read receipt that you can use in most common email programs.

Do I then have to manually write an email like an idiot every time, confirming that I have read the message?

Where is the problem of tapping the “Answer” button and sending a “All right, thanks for the info”?

If you want to have it very comfortable, start a matching text creation.

You're not a fool if you like his wish. And "every time"? How many times?
