Re-priming painted miniatures?

Hey people.

I plan to repaint my painted figures because I no longer like the way they look. To do this, I'm going to re-prime them with a spray can. Do any of you have experience with this and what I should look out for?

Thanks in advance.

Depending on the starting position, I would say – re prime yes, but before that discolor. for metal miniatures, you use acetone or universal thinner and insert the models in it for two days, then you can remove the old color with a toothbrush. For plastic and retin miniatures there are different (only no acetone), but many swear on sterilium as color dissolver. Is there anywhere these days?

the colors have to get together

you should fill the figures in a screw glass or a storage can and add fine quartz sand and then shake 90 seconds thoroughly to rough the surfaces. so keeps the primer better.

by the way, I would not spray, but dip with a patissiergabel and drop it on a patissier lattice.

Since it is tabletop Minis there is nix with dive primer

of course this goes with suitable color.

as I wrote – patissiergabel. the miniatures are not smaller than a praline.

Yes, but in the case of a dip coating, many details will probably be lost because so much of the primer is on it. Thin sprayed on is still the best

What’s that paint? Acrylic? What figures? Miniatures for tabletop? If yes, I would remove the lacquer completely before not the details disappear under several lacquer coats

Then I’d put them completely in dilution to get the old paint down.
