RB25 what kind of ticket do I need, or will the one I got from the bvg work too?

Tickets are available for AB/BC or ABC.

Which district you are traveling in is not fundamentally relevant. As little as relevant, which train/S/U-Bahn/Strab you use.

If you are only traveling within the city border Berlin, you are definitely right with a ticket AB.
