I haven't smoked cannabis or cigarettes for 8 years, and I don't drink alcohol anymore, but I still feel the need to get high again. What should I do?

So I'm 30 and stopped when I was 21, so it's been almost 9 years now and it feels great. Back in my youth I would get together with my friends every weekend and drink alcohol and use cannabis, and quite a lot of it. At some point I also drank cannabis regularly, every day or every other day. I was a real stoner, but at some point I got fed up with it because I couldn't afford it. I mainly wanted to concentrate more on my career because I really couldn't get anything done when I was constantly high, I was just good at hanging out. Yes, at some point I stopped everything overnight. Now it's been 9 years and it went by really quickly. It all seems new to me, I don't know if I'm imagining it but it really doesn't feel like long since it happened, and at the moment I do feel like smoking weed every now and then but I'm sure I'll get really lazy again. Now that cannabis is legal and it's so close at hand the temptation is really big again but I'm holding back. But I think if I were to get high again, I'd really enjoy it and really switch off for a bit. I don't have any stoner friends anymore, though. I'd do it alone and relax at home for a weekend. Do you think that would quickly take its toll on you? I'm convinced that your brain craves it. It misses something it's been enjoying for years and then suddenly it's no longer available. That's why I get the urge every now and then.

No one can foresee how this would work. I think it’s good that you’re thinking about it. Maybe it’s worth talking to professionals. Advice at appropriate places is completely confidential, non-binding and costs nothing. You might know more. Look here: https://mindzone.info/beratung/

Good luck!

It’s called “no* Alcohol… Whatsapp messes up the language almost worse than Gangstarap…

You can also get high from adrenaline trains through sports. Or more harmless things like coffee.

After years of abstinence of chemical drugs, get lost again and again. I think that’s normal. Just stand over it.

After 2 years old, I took the train from a joint, the feeling was unpleasant and differed from then so much that I didn’t do it anymore. But who knows a train in two years?

Hmm, since you already had a addiction behavior, I’d tell you about it.

Currently there is a trend that comes from America. Phenibut, is a legal remedy that makes happy and subtle high but not lazy.

However, it can also make addiction and is just to use when you keep the consumption distances.

In principle, you could also generally decide for consumption on the weekend

By meditation you can also get into a high state.
