Rattling in the engine compartment?

Hey,

Since this morning, there's been a rattling noise in the engine compartment on the passenger side of my 2009 Audi A3. The noise occurs primarily when the car is stopped, and I have absolutely no idea what could be causing it. At first, I thought it was coming from the right speaker, but that's definitely not the case. I've also opened the hood, but I didn't really notice anything, except that I heard the noise even more loudly (unfortunately, I'm no expert).

What could be the cause and what should I do now?

the rat could come from a loosely sitting or damaged disguise or heat protection in older A3 models that is not unusual. It is worth checking the attachments in the engine compartment (in particular on the passenger side), i.e. loose plastic covers, which flap under vibration. If you don’t find anything obvious, it could also be close to fans or sensors on a loosely seated component. It is best to check this again from a workshop to make sure that it does not indicate a deeper problem.

Very important, after the service date the mechanic is always released from the engine compartment.

But fun aside, that could be, for example, a sheet that has entered the ventilation.
