Rattling/humming when shifting gears at a standstill and at certain speeds?

Hello. My 2004 Mazda2 is making a strange rattling noise at the moment. I noticed it when shifting gears while stationary with my foot on the clutch, and while driving when accelerating at 2000-2500 rpm. I can't hear anything when braking, especially in the higher gears. Otherwise, everything works as usual. I'm concerned the gearshift is causing damage to the transmission, but there aren't any noises I'd interpret as transmission noise. It's very smooth and fairly quiet. I'd compare it to the noise a light switch makes when you hold it exactly in the middle. You could also describe it as a humming or grinding noise. What could it be? And can I still drive the car?

Just let it be checked in the workshop, remote diagnosis is not possible. No one can hear it here.
