Rats with hamsters?
My girlfriend wants to get two rats. But I want to get two hamsters. Is it possible to keep both species in one cage, or is that not possible?

Hamsters are single-goers and want to be held alone. Rats must be kept at least three. The rats would kill the hamster as they are much bigger. Before you get a hamster and your girlfriend rats, you will be very well informed about the kind attitude.

A commercially available cage is too small for both animals… A zb 400l aquarium (if you get spottbillig on ebay zb) would be suitable for a hamster.
For rats, I would personally build something to choose a corner where you can create a small space with wooden frames and grids and then eat a paradis.
I can’t. The rats can be held together, but they should be more than two! The hamsters need a walk for themselves. I strongly recommend that Hamstern be kept together!
