As for gaming, you can “build” a retro console with Batocera Linux. There, many emulators are already pre-installed and there are also frequent updates. You only need an SD card and the Romes. Up to some PS3 games, everything goes as well as all the older console generations.

Retro Gaming should work with Batocera at Pi4:

Many emulators are already in place, only the ROMs are required:

Even 64GB SD cards already work

It is trustworthy in itself, but it contains little. If you need good pages, write to me. (I would like to remind you in the beginning that it is partly a gray zone or even illegal and violates copy protection.)

Jap, buy two or more Bluetooth capable controllers. Use RetroPie or other applications to make PI Bluetooth capable with a dongle, or do not know if the 4s can already do this from home. To do this, install Kodi and Linux Mint or similar. Then you’ve got an eager wool milk sow.
It is then multimedia capable (TV), can function as desktop PC and emulsify consoles.

I’ve done this with a Raspberry Pi 2. 😊

Build your own games!

By means of Python, the problem is impossible. Here are some libraries for dealing with graphical elements, and some are also developing from and for the gaming community.
