Wheel caps fall when you drive with them against high board stones etc.

The cheap are made of extremely brittle cheap plastic. They’re the ones that are 90% on the street.

Original wheel caps are usually made of impact resistant plastic. They are significantly more expensive – but they also have much more. In addition, they are available individually and not only in the four pack.

I always find it funny when people buy new cars – but are too greedy for the original wheel caps. They then buy them at the club with the three big letters.

Even with the cheapest small car, the surcharge for wheel caps in relation to the purchase price of the car is negligibly low.

Who really wants to save does not buy a new car – but this is another topic.

This can have several reasons:

  • Wheel cap defective
  • Wheel cap is easy ice quality
  • Wheel cap does not fit 100% to the rim (can give).
  • Extreme forces e.g. in case of accident or something.
  • contact or impact hole
  • Incorrect assembly

Most often, however, the original wheel caps or brand products are better.

Wheel caps don’t fall off. They are so constructed that this does not happen!

However, if people do not properly mount the wheel caps, the correct mount cannot be granted.

In addition, there are people who drive with the rims against rock edges. Jenes can cause the holder to break off. What could then lead to loss of the ride.

There are some reasons. Cheap commercial wheel caps, broken clamps or rings, …

Probably the clamping ring is too loose, it can be made narrower, for example by suitable bending.

Hello AppleBaum280

Wheel caps are usually very tight. But if you strip with the wheel cap where (Bordstein…..) then you can loosen and fall off

If you mount them incorrectly, they fall off.

Not neatly mounted or unbroken fastening straps

Wheel caps incorrectly mounted, incorrect raft caps mounted, wheel cap defective. There is enough a contact with the torso or a percussion hole and the cap is gone

What is to be understood as a “defect” in the case?

Coarse or broken wheel caps where the clamping ring no longer holds on the rim
