Radioactive or not?

Hello, I have a stone at home that I was given as a gift. It looks like the pictures, but when you look on the internet it sometimes says that it could be a radioactive stone and sometimes you find a stone that looks exactly the same and is not dangerous. Can someone explain this to me and how do I know if it is dangerous?

At each gymnasium there are devices for measuring radioactive radiation. There you can easily find it by a physics teacher.

Ask an expert or measure radioactivity with a Geiger counter. I don’t see many other possibilities.

You can’t say if you haven’t seen your stone.

Either you’re holding the rock in front of a Geiger-Müller-Zählrohr (handy devices are available at Amazon) or you’re waiting for the consequences of any radiation sickness. First method is less painful.

However, costs more in the short term;)

Go to the Environmental Agency in your city. They give free small violin counters.

….

Here I give you a few phrases so you can structure your text legibly.

I’m sure you don’t have a bad eye.

You can check it with a Geiger counter.
