Rabbits always want to go back to their dug hole, why?

A few days ago, my rabbits dug a hole about 1m long. Now I want to close it up, but every time I put dirt in it, they both come and dig it away again. Even if I block their way, they still want to go in. It might be crazy, but could there be something in the hole? Or is this just their natural behavior?

It's natural behavior. Still, you should pour the holes back.

Imagine your rabbit is seriously ill and doesn't get out of the hole.

Imagine the tunnel falls.

And, and, and…

Sure is safe.

That's what I mean sometimes, I'd be careful not to dig too deep, otherwise it might collapse and then bury the rabbits under it. My haeze has always done when she was pussy, then she has always built holes (tunnels), as a nest. After that it has significantly reduced but they still like to buddy and it is just fun for them

Earth construction is now the natural home of the rabbits. They may also have young children in their construction and, last but not least, the rabbits are often called underground. Under the earth it is pleasantly cool. I don't even like to think about how many rabbits spend the summer in their wooden hares, limited to an area of 50 x 70 cm….a lifetime.

Let your rabbits buddle…

That's why a stable is usually secured underground. So that rabbits can't leave when budding. Budding is a natural behavior, you can't train them and you shouldn't forbid them.
