Quit your studies with BAföG and then start something new?
If I have studied for 2 semesters and received Bafög in these 2 semesters – but then I de-register after the 2nd semester and after 1 year but want to start a new course of study with a new degree program, can I apply for Bafög again?

Yes, you can still switch after the second semester without a compelling reason and receive BAföG again. I'm not sure whether the year between degree programs is a problem, but I don't think so. You must definitely explain the reason for the change in your application. There are many templates available online for this.
If you must make your change of degree program dependent on continued funding, submit an application for a preliminary decision to your responsible BAföG office; the BAföG office is bound to such a preliminary decision for one year. ( Source )
