Question about Web.de?
Hi, my question is: I have an email address with Web DE that's free, not a premium version, and I've forgotten my password. When I reset my password, I get to a point regarding two-factor authentication, where I'm asked to enter a secret key. Unfortunately, I have no idea where to find it.
Can you formulate this more accurately/exactly? Or to document with corresponding screenshots? Because as you describe it, it doesn’t make any sense.
You can call the web.de support and let you help. It costs a lot of money, a few euros, but then you should get back to it. Or you’ll make a new free web.de account.
So I’m trying to log on to Web DE. However, when registering, my password is incorrect. If I click Reset Password, I can either send a link by email or by SMS. I click on this one to enter my email address there and get the password by SMS once click on and then I come to another page where I should enter the password for the two factor authentication, which I have printed out or stored. Only this once password for this authentication I don’t own or I never got, as I have a free account and no premium account.
This has nothing to do with Premium. You need to find the key in your Authenticator. Which authenticator do you use?
It was a mistake from Web, DE
What was it about?
May I ask where the mistake was?
The problem has been solved by the support but thanks!
That sounds like a case for web.de support. I hope you have defined your real name at web.de, otherwise you will never see the account again.
