Question about snoring problems: How can I prevent it? Does anyone have experience with this?
I was recommended a position sensor that vibrates when you lie on your back, but that resulted in me sleeping on my side all night and then having severe back pain in the morning. What are your experiences with this?
I once talked to a colleague about it and he told me that he used to have problems too and that snoring also caused breathing to stop.
The problem resolved itself when he lost weight, so that seems to be a contributing factor.
You don't even know if the FS is overweight.
There are also skinny people with sleep apnea. What do you recommend for them?
Yes, I'm currently doing that with more or less success.
I know it's hard. I also had a New Year's resolution to lose a few pounds, but right now I'm just treading water. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Discuss the problem with your family doctor.
It may be necessary to determine whether you are experiencing apnea during sleep. Your doctor can advise you on this and, if necessary, arrange for appropriate examinations and referrals to appropriate specialists.
So-called diagnosed obstructive sleep apnea, for example, is often treated with a CPAP device.
Yes, I do have very few breathing breaks. Not so much that I've been recommended a CPAP device. Just a supine position sensor… which unfortunately affects my spine.
Ask your doctor or specialist whether there are other options!
