Question about bank accounts?
The following: I have noticed that international transfers from a current account located in the Eurozone to another current account located outside the Eurozone incur additional costs.
This applies both to the payer’s account and to the amount that the payer transfers to the recipient.
However, this doesn't seem to be the case with credit card payments! I've made several charitable donations to accounts outside the Eurozone (but always with a credit card!) and I've never encountered any additional charges!
Am I correct in this assumption? Can someone explain to me why this is the case?
Thanks in advance!
These are hidden Fees, the banks must also “live”.
With credit cards, companies often earn exchange rates that they make to yours Depreciation.
No matter how, they’re never going out empty in such resolutions. You can be sure.
The credit card operators take the costs of the transfers
No, you’re wrong. Credit card companies take 1% foreign currency fee.
No, there are also enough credit cards without a foreign currency fee and also those with lower or higher fees. Depends on the credit card.
