QR code/barcode scanning options?
What options are there for scanning a QR code/barcode?
At the moment, all I can think of are websites and apps, but what else is there? How do others do it? And how does it even work? Is there a database that requires access first?
I guess I don’t really understand the question.
The most obvious would be a barcode scanner that is connected to the device via USB or Bluetooth.
There are also 2D scanners that can also scan QR codes.
They can output the barcode, for example, as text (similar to a keyboard).
If you want to use barcodes in a warehouse to simplify the inventory, there is a database behind it.
Similarly, when testing devices, each test object receives a barcode with a unique number and can thus be assigned to its data.
Some smartphone manufacturers offer scanning of QR codes via the camera.
QR codes radio so that the information is contained in the printed pattern. That’s why you can’t store many data there and the pattern becomes more complex, the more data it is. The three squares are required so that the scanner detects in which position the QR code is scanned. Only in this way can the pattern be read correctly. For reading QR codes it does not need a database but only a software that can read the pattern.
No, you don’t need a database.
Go even with little effort by hand;)
