Was mache ich jetzt?
Hello missourimila
If you forgot the Qlaira for more than 12 hours, this is a mistake in the first week of taking: The missed pill immediately decrease even if you have to take 2 pills at the same time. Then continue normal again. But the next 9 days, in any case, additionally prevent. In the case of GV during the 7 days prior to the taking error there is also the possibility of pregnancy.
So you should get the pill as soon as possible (the pill after that you can still take up to 5 days after the GV, the sooner the better). NOTE: If you take the pill after that you can lose the protection of the pill. The protection will only begin once the pill has been removed after the pill at least 14 days uninterrupted and error-free.
In case of an error, it is important to read in the package immediately how to react to the error.
A very good advice from , community expert for pills
“Get this place on the edge so you can find it quickly if you need it!”
To avoid forgetting the pill, you can save the memory into your phone. You can also place the pack next to the coffee machine, next to the coffee cups or next to the toothbrush.
Our many years of experience has shown that it is safer to take the pill in the morning. You usually stand up at the same time and when you get up on the weekend, the time difference doesn’t matter because you can take the Qlaira up to 12 hours without losing the protection. Besides, you have time to take a forgotten pill all day. In the evening, you’re more on the go, and you’ll see the time.

A mistake in the first week (week after the break) is actually the worst case, because it cannot be corrected afterwards and there is no protection anymore. You have to keep an extra 7 days until you’re protected.
For it can (but don’t have to – you can get out of about 10%) within one to six days to a breakthrough ovulation (unwanted spontaneous ovulation) and therefore to a pregnancy.
For in the hormonal time (take pause) the ovulation which has been suppressed by the pill hormones begins again. However, this period is too short to complete the maturation process for the fertilizing egg.
However, in the case of uncorrected intake errors around the pause, the seven-day hormone-free interval is extended and it can then occur to mature new follicles and a breakthrough ovulation.
As sperms survive in you for up to five days and wait for an egg, you can even become “reactive” (i.e. from sex in the break).
When and whether a breakthrough ovulation occurs at all, it cannot be predicted or calculated. But the further the mistake is removed from the break and the longer the sex is, the more unlikely is a pregnancy.
Since there can be a breakthrough ovulation at the earliest, and the sex has been 5 days ago, I wouldn’t mind. But I can’t decide whether you want to use an emergency prevention.
Happy for you!
At qlaira the critical period is longer
mostly too late, all good.
Was it later than 12h?
