Putting goldfish into the sea in winter?

Hello!

(I'm asking for a friend)

Unfortunately, my goldfish have grown too big, and I have to say goodbye to them. There's a medium-sized lake in the neighborhood that already has a few goldfish swimming in it. Fishing isn't allowed there either. The lake is currently completely frozen. Can I add my goldfish to it once I've adjusted the temperature, or do I have to wait until summer? (I know that's not ideal, but unfortunately, the only alternative is the toilet.)

Thanks.

The exposure of goldfish in waters is not only a threat to fish present there, but also prohibited for good reason

Aren't you close? You can't flush them down the toilet, sell them on Ebay and tell the people they're supposed to come and pick them up with you or drop it off in an ordinary shop, that's what's going on with me in a note and also with Oldenburg at AquaDesign. These are also beings!

Ask an aquarium store to pick up your goldfish. My store has taken many fish.

I can't!

Firstly, it is unauthorized to simply expose animals (so belong the goldfish!!). Secondly, the goldfish would not survive because the temperature difference would be too high. Thirdly, one should never come up with the idea of simply flushing fish in the toilet – they suffer a painful death.

Where the animals come now is in your hand, you should finally inform you how to cultivate goldfish in a manner appropriate to the species and what to do in such a situation (where such a situation should not happen at all).

Please, at least put them in good hands!

You can't even expose goldfish in nature. These are equal to several violations of applicable laws:

  • you are not allowed
  • you must not expose animals that are not home here
  • and you cannot simply kill vertebrates (also fish belong to it!)
  • You can't torment animals – and that would be if you flushed the fish in the toilet…

Sorry, but you can actually just shake your head over such projects. Have you ever heard of responsibility and/or empathy?

You wanted to cultivate these goldfish? You must have been aware of how long they live. At least make sure they get a reasonable new home.

You can display ads in the many regional classified portals. You can see if there is an Aquaristic Association in the area where you can give the animals…

However, how big gold fish are and that they like to go green – ie in the ground – you will learn if you are informed about these fish and the possible attitude in the aquarium.

Nevertheless, there's no reason to kill them now in a good condition by flushing them down in the toilet.

No, they didn't do that, because they can't recommend it!!

Yeah, well, then you have to put them in everywhere… did you see if there's an aquarium club near you?

they have to accept

All this is forbidden – because you cannot kill vertebrates. If you can't post anything else here, just leave it. I don't think anyone here wants to talk to an animal torture… and that's you if you want to throw live animals from the balcony or into the toilet. And that's what I stand for.

Can I use my goldfish if I adjust the temperature

Yes, but you need several days (without errors) to adjust the temperature according to plan. With target 4-6 degrees.

Do you like it? How can you do that?

If there were three months left, it's safe.

I know this is not so good, but the only alternative is unfortunately the toilet..

wtf?

How about water change, or with a folding pool, or a children's paddling pool and a sponge filter?

You can't just put fish in a water that doesn't belong to you.

That may be, but honestly I don't care. The goldfish is represented in many village and town ponds. Most of these waters are artificial, have a not 100% natural structure and species community especially fish (think only the ubiquitous carp) and I have never seen a large artificial pond that has been "taken" by goldfish so that nothing else goes. Let alone a lake or a flow-water – that is hardly possible because usually neither temperature nor flow conditions in any way make the goldfish competitive.

A children's pool is not a solution!

I'd say. It can work. I'm sorry, it's stupid about the ground.

And no problem until May. And cheap.

And a larger area than a 2 m basin.

that you can't read out from your answer…

No, of course, put it in the HOUSE! Don't get out, that's death.

The pool would hardly stop snow, hail and storms. To freeze (as an example: it was -10°C yesterday!!) he would certainly also as he is not particularly high!

In winter, the shock is likely to be too great because of the different temperatures. Wait until summer, ask the sea owner for permission and then put them around. Until then, they'll have to stop.

Not to ask without owners of the lake. And I don't know if we're smart in winter.

Goldfish are a species of animal we have considered invasive. They originate from China and do not really belong to our nature. You can't just expose them. They displace native species. You can even transfer diseases. They don't belong to our nature. They have already become a plague in some regions.

Unfortunately the only alternative is the toilet.

You could try a little more. Announcer on ebay classifieds. At the latest in 3 months, you will find someone who likes to take up in the pond.

And what decision have you come to after 7 days? Did you find her kindly unused, or a reasonable decision on how to make her in the zoo shop?

But that's why death sentence?

What about the alternative to offer to an aquarium shop?
