Points deducted for spelling or grammar in math exams?

I just wrote my math exam and wanted to know if there are points deducted for spelling or grammar in the math exam? My math teacher said before the exam that he'd never seen anyone deduct points for spelling or grammar in their math exam. But today was analysis, and I wrote many more sentences than in previous exams. I'd never received points deducted in a math exam before.

If you do Abitur, you should be able to formulate a few phrases grammatically correct.Whoever manages to get rid of points in a Matheklausur for his bad spelling, he cannot start much with the Abitur anyway.

They then have to characterize this and not represent a universal truth.

In my knowledge, spelling or Gramatic errors in math do not influence the assessment as long as they do not make the word unrecognizable or the sentence completely incomprehensible.

Doesn’t apply to math. At least not in Bavaria.
