Wash sweaters and other clothes softly and gently?

I bought a hoodie from Lowlight for €100 this Christmas. Well, before I washed it, it was pretty soft inside, but now it feels like I'm wearing a towel. It's also gotten pretty stiff, so I wanted to ask for washing tips on how to (properly) wash the hoodie and other clothing so that it stays soft and doesn't stiffen up strangely.

Thanks!

My things are always soft (except jeans)

Washing tops and trousers at 40 degrees with powder detergent

Towels/Bed linen/underwear 60-75 degrees with powder

White towels 90 degrees with powder

Kitchen and cleaning products 90 with preliminary washing with powder

Use Persil and Persil as well as Miele’s UltraWhite when it comes to color. I don’t really use softeners. Laundry is also not for the machine even without soft and good.
