Ps5 Kayak Mirage Vr2 Problem?

I just downloaded Kayak Mirage to play it on VR2. After opening it, I landed in a practice pool. Under the paddle I'm holding up in the air, it says "Press X to launch." It doesn't seem difficult at all, but the X button doesn't respond when I press it, either on the controller or the VR controllers. However, in the PS5 menu and other games, the X button responds, which means it's not broken. Do you have any idea how I can fix this, or if I'm doing something wrong?
