Prophylaxis – how to schedule an appointment?

Hi,

I go for a dental cleaning about every four months. Now I have a small "problem."

I have my next dental cleaning in January and would have to go back in May. I'll be on vacation starting mid-May.

If I leave the appointment as it is, in the second week of January, I'd actually have to go back in mid-May (18 weeks later). But I'll be on vacation then.

I would then have to go after either 16 weeks or 20 weeks.

Or I could reschedule for the fourth week of January, then I'd go back after 18 weeks at the end of May. What would you do?

Would you generally go before or after your vacation? I think you tend to eat a bit less healthily on vacation and maybe don't pay as much attention to your dental hygiene.
