So, I sent a package from Cologne to Seattle with DHL. Unfortunately, there was no tracking service, but that's not a big deal. My actual question is how long would it take? Since I sent it today. (I don't have a DHL Express account)

Das kann man nicht vergleichen. Luftfracht ist für Fracht, die umgehend benötigt wird oder extrem verderbliche Waren wie Blumen. Post und Pakete werden auch per Luftfracht transportiert.
Mit Containerschiffen wird alles transportiert was man nicht sofort braucht und was nicht direkt schlecht wird.
Der Großteil der Luftfracht wird übrigens nicht in Frachtflugzeugen transportiert sondern im Bauch von Passagierflugzeugen.
aha wieso gibt es dann unzählige DHL, UPS, Fedex und lufthansa cargo flugzeuge?
Außerdem hat Lufthansa Cargo nur 15 Flugzeuge, das ist ziemlich wenig für eine Fluggesellschaft.
DHL, UPS usw. transportieren hauptsächlich nicht im Auftrag von Dritten sondern z.B. ihre eigenen Pakete wie ich oben geschrieben haben.
Lufthansa Cargo und andere Cargo aurlines die nicht zu Paketdiensten gehören transportieren eben Spezialfracht.
Luftfracht ist im Vergleich sehr teuer.
Der Verbrauch pro kg bzw m³ ist deutlich höher als bei Schiffen
Aber klar das sind Problem. Theoretisch profitiert die Luftfracht davon aber Konkurrenzfähig wird sie nicht.
Ein gutes Beispiel sind Flugmangos die Kosten ca. 3x so viel wie normale mangos

Für einen 10-stündigen Flug würde die Boeing 777F etwa 75 Tonnen Schweröl verbrauchen
Ein mittelgroßes Containerschiff mit 12.000 TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit) verbraucht bei voller Ladung etwa 300 Tonnen Schweröl pro Tag.

Wobei das ist nur der Schnitt es kommt stark auf das Gewicht und die Kosten der wahre an da Luftfracht deutlich sicherer ist

Okay aber was heißt das pro kg Fracht bzw. Pro m³?
Weil ich glaube aufs Schiff passt mehr drauf und das ist ja jetzt auch nur der Verbrauch pro Zeit
Wir brauchen ja den Verbrauch pro km aber das müssen wir auch noch bereinigen weil Boote müssen ja Umwege fahren und Flugzeuge fliegen ja Luftlinie.
Am Ende ist es dennoch günstiger und zwar deutlich ware per Schiff zu transportieren zumindest aktuell
