Didn't get the product code from Origin?

I bought a game on Steam (Sims 4), and when I click on it, it says "Activation required. You must first activate Unidentified Game for your EA account to play it." Then I click on "Activate Game," and then I have to enter a product code, which can be found either in the confirmation email or on the packaging. I don't have the packaging, of course, so it must be in the email. The only email I received was an invoice, which listed the price but no code.

I bought three games at once, so maybe that's why there's no code specifically for Sims? The other two games didn't require a code; they weren't on Origin or from EA.

I can't play without the code, but there's really nothing in the email.

Has this happened to anyone else, or is it an isolated incident? Should I contact official support? If so, which one? Origin, Steam, or EA? In my experience, no one ever answers online support…

Have you ever tried to link your Steam account to Origin?

If you have a game purchased in your Steam library, then it should be automatically recognized at Origin that you have it on Steam.

Otherwise, see if the key is available on Steam itself.

Quote from the Internet:

After downloading some Steam-Games on your SteamAccount can be provided with an additional product key. You can use these product keys in Steam-View library by clicking on the game name to the right and selecting “Manage” > Product Key.

It may also be that this is different, for example “CD-Key”.

Did you do that?

1) you must look at the spam, the code should come once by mail, and once you can view it online on your profile or in the folder with steam yourself. (see groys answer) if you don’t find any code, contact steam, but normally you will see the email+ in the game menu.

There is a live chat that you can start with an employee from the Origin support team. I’ve done a live chat more often, the employees are really nice and help you out very well. This live chat is much better than any website, because employees can try to solve your personal problems and answer your questions, unlike on many websites.

I don’t know how far they can help you because you didn’t buy the game from Origin, but from Steam. But it is definitely worth a try.

To start this chat, you must do the following:

1. Enter “Origin Help – Electronik Arts” on the Internet.

Two. Click on the correct (mostly first) search result.

3. Scroll down the website and click on contact in the field “You are looking for something else?”

4. Select a game platform (PC/Mac).

Five. One of the proposed, true themes/problems.

6. Click on “Select contact option”.

7. Enter your first name, last name and email address + click “Next”.

8. Live Chat should be displayed on the following website as a recommended customer service option. You can then start it, but only during the day.

Good luck:)
