Processor new or used?

Hi guys,

I ordered a new process from Galaxus, up to now I have always had good experiences, but today the processor arrived and the packaging looks very strange to me, I am attaching pictures, can someone tell me if it is normal that it is delivered like this and one more question, the side where the pins are, the processor shines as if there was a film, is that really one or is it supposed to be like that?

thanks in advance

Looks normal for me.

Of course there are also these great colorful high-gloss packs with prints and gedons, which one often sees to pick up the product to the private end turns – but what one sees on the photos is a very regular processor pack as it is customary, for example, in wholesale.

This looks like when it comes to the product and not the packaging.

Don’t look like something. If a foil is on it, pull it off if not.

I want your worries, it’s clear. If this was a crater landscape, then it doesn’t get any contact with the motherboardpins.
Films are never on CPUs.

If it is easy (without violence) to take off so effortlessly, then it should not remain. On the photos is not really to recognize whether there is a film on it or not.

All clear but should be the side of the pins smooth the surface is completely smooth

AMD has been following a PGA architecture (Pin Grid Array) with the AM4 platform for years.

Say: The pins are on the CPU and not on the motherboard.

Now, however, AMD has also moved with its AM5 platform to an LGA (Land Grid Array) architecture, as they have a powerful upsurge in popularity and still have.

The change means for you that the risk of accidentally bending your pins is no longer at the CPU, but at the motherboard.

But that should also be clear when you look at your new motherboard.

For this reason, AM4 is not compatible with AM5.

When the CPU is in the base, it is pressed down by such a bracket. There are usually also small scratches. Never been installed.

This is also a normal Tray packaging. Galaxus also gets the CPUs in the carton from the wholesaler.

This is a Tray CPU, so this is a packaging normal.

You can test the CPU and see if it works. I don’t know what the film should be.

Oh, you mean. That’s normal at am5 cpus. Got the 7500f too.

This looks like a new one, if it’s really new, it’s hard to say.

He’s definitely not needed.

When the packaging was closed, he was new.
