Problems with Wi-Fi access – find out the cause (router or cable)?

Hello,

I've been having problems with my Wi-Fi access for a few days now, and I'm not sure if the problem is with the line or the router. The internet connection keeps connecting briefly and then cutting out. I've called Vodafone several times, but haven't found a solution yet.

Are there specific steps or tools to determine whether the problem is with the cable or the router? What clues or symptoms should I look for to determine the cause more precisely?

I would be grateful for tips and advice!

Thanks in advance!

It can also be that there are too many WLANs in your area. If there are more than 10, then there can be problems. You may need to switch to a different frequency in the router. So instead of taking 2.4 just 5 GHz. And then, of course, give this WLAN a different name. But you know how to do that

Then you can see if it gets better when you work with cables. If it’s just as bad then it’s not the Wi-Fi. I’d try to push you so slowly. By doing exclusion diagnosis. So always try to exclude what it might be like by testing with the LAN cable. Then you can draw conclusions about what it could not be.

And your next task is to get familiar with the technology if you don’t know that well. Read on Wikipedia what interests you and what you don’t know.

Look at your router platform.

We’d have to get some advice. What is not very sensible.
