Problems with laptop microphone?

My laptop microphone is not recognized in Windows, but works in Discord.

I need the microphone for work and also for the browser, but since Windows doesn't recognize it, it isn't listed.

How can I fix this?

If the microphone works under Discord, this is proof that it is also recognized by Windows.
In addition, it is displayed in the device manager under "audio inputs and outputs".

What exactly does it work for?
It is likely that the desired apps to access the microphone must still be released in data protection > microphone.

Is it an integrated or external microphone?

When integrated:

Go to the manufacturer page and search for a corresponding driver for your model (eg RealTek).

If External:

Go to the manufacturer page of your micro and download the software.
