Problems with kiCAD?

Hello

I'm currently trying out kiCAD because I need a custom PCB for a DIY project. I encountered a problem while designing. Since I'm not very good at using the schematic editor, I haven't been able to create a good schematic. This wouldn't be a problem, since I could simply draw the wires in the PCB editor. The problem is that I can't connect the components that weren't connected in the schematic. Like in the image, where I tried to connect the wire to THT hole "2." Is there a way to disable this?

Yes, this works. You create a new project and work directly in the PCB Editor without creating a schematic. Then you can drag all the components (footprints) directly onto the board and connect each pin to each other.

BUT I still recommend you familiarize yourself with the schematic editor, because the method mentioned above is quite error-prone. The intention is that you can only connect what is connected in the schematic to prevent incorrect connections.

So have fun with KiCad.
