Probleme Windows 11 Booten, BIOS erkennt nicht die SSD, was tun?
Servus,
Hello!
I once heard/read that some Nvme SSDs cannot be compatible with some motherboards.
On the product homepage of the motherboard manufacturer, a corresponding compatibility list should therefore be found in the support area. Just like the CPU and Ram compatibility lists.
Can you call us the exact name of your motherboard?
Then “we” could also make us look for more information.
I have never heard of the SSD brand “Merak”.
Maybe you should exchange this SSD through one of the famous and big brands, such as “Samsung”, or “Cruical”.
Maybe this “Merak” SSD is also defective and thus a warranty case.
All of this is not possible at the moment.
On Monday you could also call Dubaro’s support.
Or (already before) fill out the online contact form.

moin,
The mainboard is: MSI B550-A PRO.
I will first try this SSD and then contact the support for deeper insights as soon as possible. Besides, the “we” was a friend who meant to me, I thought in the head I had already mentioned this and well…
Absolutely thank you for your help!

No.
I meant with “we” actually myself and everyone else trying to actively help here.
I could find the following with your information at MSI:
https://de.msi.com/Motherboard/B550-A-PRO
https://de.msi.com/Motherboard/B550-A-PRO/support
https://de.msi.com/Motherboard/B550-A-PRO/support#hdd
Oh, well, I guess I misinterpreted that.
I read the information about the motherboard by hopefully I find the solution there.
Thank you for your support that I appreciate very much! 🙂
The board has two M2 slots. The two slots differ in their support standards see – specification of the board on the manufacturer’s side:
2x M.2 slots (Key M):
M2_1 slot (from AMD Processor)
M2_2 slot (from AMD B550 chipset)
Make sure you really do your NVMe in the M2_1 slot and not in the M2_2 slot. Otherwise, check with the NVMe product data whether it is compatible with the above specifications of the M2_1 slot.
The SSD is definitely in the M2_1 slot, I still tried it today with a colleague who knows more than I checked several times and also already tried the M2_2 slot once as an alternative. The 2TB Kinston SSD should be compatible with the motherboard, but for some reason it is not read. The BIOS shows that there is an SSD, but the name “Merkat” is displayed instead of “Kinston”, and the 2TB is not detectable.
I thank you for your help!
