Problems with package delivery?

So I ordered a lot of stuff and one of them is something I'm really looking forward to. It's a goods postage and packaging. It's also relatively small and light, so I thought it would arrive within 1-2 days, but DHL still says "the shipment is being prepared for further transport" in Braunschweig yesterday at about 7 p.m.

No new news since then, which I don't quite understand, as I'm normally more of a fan of buying locally rather than ordering.

Additionally, my second GLS order states "The package is on its way to the GLS location" and expected delivery date is December 21st, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It's December 21st, and it's already 4 p.m., and the display hasn't updated.

Can someone possibly help me understand what all this means?
