Problem with dedicated GPU and iGPU?

Hello, I just restarted my PC and it wouldn't display any image on my dedicated GPU. (I recently installed my new Ryzen 5 7600x, which apparently has an iGPU.)

Now the PC only showed an image via the iGPU. Since I wanted my PC to run on my dedicated graphics card, I uninstalled the iGPU in Device Manager, as I read online. Now I can't get an image with either the dedicated GPU or the iGPU.

And yes, the dedicated GPU is definitely not defective.

Can anyone help me with this? I've restarted my PC several times, but it doesn't help.

Hi.

It sounds like there’s a problem with the drivers for the graphics cards. It could be that the drivers for the iGPU and the dedicated GPU compete with each other and therefore no image is displayed.

I would initially recommend starting the PC in Safe Mode and uninstalling the drivers for both graphics cards. Then you can reinstall the drivers for the dedicated GPU and make sure they are selected as a primary graphics card.

If that doesn’t work, there might be a conflict with the new Ryzen 5 7600X and the graphics cards. In this case, you could try to update the BIOS or check the settings in the BIOS to see if the graphics settings are correct.

If everything else fails, it could also be that there is a hardware problem. In this case, it would be advisable to show the PC to a person skilled in the art to diagnose and troubleshoot the problem.

No, the driver for the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card is not the same as the driver for the integrated GPU (iGPU) of a Ryzen processor. Although both drivers come from AMD, they are specifically optimized for the respective hardware and offer different functions and performance features. It is important that the correct driver for the respective graphics card is installed to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.

Google:To install the driver for the RX 6900 XT without installing the driver for the Ryzen iGPU, you need to make sure that you download the correct drivers from the official website of the graphics card manufacturer.

Follow these steps to install the driver for the RX 6900 XT:

1. Go to the AMD website and look for the latest drivers for the RX 6900 XT graphics card.

Two. Download the appropriate driver for your operating system (e.g. Windows 10 64-bit).
