Problem with Cube Kathmandu Hybrid EXC 750. Anyone else?

Hello everyone,

I bought a Cube Kathmandu Hybrid EXC 750 about a month ago and have since done a few tours through Germany.

The first problem occurred on a tour.

(At 740 mileage)

When pedaling, a cracking/creaking noise suddenly appeared in almost every gear.

I then had to make an unplanned stop at a Cube workshop, who kindly started troubleshooting straight away.

Since the noise seemed to be coming from the bottom bracket/motor area, two hours of tinkering around in this area passed without anyone knowing where the noise was actually coming from.

Finally, by test-replacing the rear wheel, the problem with the freewheel in the cassette was identified and solved for the time being by replacing the freewheel, so I could continue riding.

I must add that during the final assembly at

I had the standard Schwalbe Energizer Plus tires on this model replaced with the Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tour.

Due to a lack of specialist knowledge, I cannot judge whether there is a connection and whether anything was done to the cassette during the replacement.

Anyway, the same problem occurred again today on the way back home from a tour on the last 20 kilometers.

The bike is no longer rideable as you can tell just by listening that the wear and tear is increasing rapidly and it will probably not be possible to ride any further in a few kilometers.

The e-bike is less than 1 month old and has already clocked up quite a few miles (sometimes on gravel roads, etc.) with a total of 1700 km on the clock. However, the fact that this problem has occurred for the second time within a short period of time can only be due to a deeper cause.

I'll take the bike to a workshop on Monday, as the Bosch system is indicating that an inspection is due anyway.

Has anyone had a similar experience with this or a comparable model?

Can anyone here perhaps attempt a remote diagnosis?

Thank you for taking the time to read my post
