Statement by Amazon:
All prime video customers in the same country as the hosting person can join a watch party. The prerequisite is that they have a valid invitation link and can access legitimate titles contained in an Amazon Prime membership, or on Prime Video titles that they have bought or borrowed. Both the hosting person and the participants must buy or borrow titles that are not included in Prime.
As far as I know, watch parties are only available for movies that are included in prime for free.
