Prices for account statements from the last 10 years?
Hello. I needed bank statements from the last 10 years due to an inheritance. Today I received a bill from the bank for €3,000. I have to pay. Is that normal? I didn't expect the price to be so high.
A flat-rate fixation of costs in the GTC is ineffective if this does not correspond to the actual costs incurred (cf. BGH, Urt. v. 17.12.2013 – XI ZR 66/13). How many extracts have you been created? In the case of monthly extracts, this sum would be significantly too high, however, if we are talking about weekly extracts, for example, the thing looks a little different.
If you are in doubt, please contact the consumer center e. V. your federal state, if you feel overwhelmed with the situation. The short consultation in general consumer law costs you € 25,– and there you can once check together whether the demand is so justified.

Come on.
5 € per extract are common.
Account statements are created weekly. Sometimes more.
Rechne nach 52 x 5 x 10
We had to pay €15 per withdrawal from the savings bank for a resolved account.
€ 15,– would definitely be too much. In this case, the bank would have to state that these costs have actually been incurred.
Usually up to 5€ per extract. That would be 200 extracts.
That would be 25 euros per extract. Seems to be pretty high. Didn’t you ask before?
Sparkasse requires 5 euros, for example.
asked. 5 euro per extract cost
How do you get to €25?
Ten years. 12 extracts per year. Makes 120 pieces. 3000 : 120 = 25.
I see this differently in the subsequent production over such a period.
An account extract is, however, a legally binding document, in which a subsequently created duplicate must match the original content.
And if I do. B. later notice that I lack a specific account statement with a specific number in my documents and I request a duplicate from this one, then of course I expect this duplicate to have the correct number. This is also about questions of accounting and, possibly, the complete proof of the bookings e.g. against the tax office.
Yes, they would. It is not important to produce paper, but to document the access and exits on the account.
If you subsequently request account statements, you will be created in the same number and with the same numbering as the original extracts. Otherwise, it would not be correct.
But not if you ask them later for the last few years. It doesn’t make sense.
That may be. I get them 1 x a week.
For customers with many bookings, this can also be more.
But not if you ask for the extracts afterwards.
Nope. I usually get only one month off.
It depends on the bank and the customer.
There are also customers who print out a current extract twice or three times a week, as you can already come to over 100 extracts per year.
Account statements are created at least 1 x weekly.
So at least 52 extracts per year.
