Play PowerPoint via projector?

Hi, I have a problem… I'm an apprentice, and my boss has given me the exciting task of getting our projector working. I work in a store where we want to run a promotional video on the projector. The video was originally in PowerPoint format, but I've now converted it into a video.

But how do I get this to play on the projector?

Unfortunately, the projector doesn't have a USB port, and we don't have the option of running an HDMI cable to the computer…

Do you have any ideas? 🥴 I've been searching for ages, but I haven't come up with anything yet…

Since my colleagues aren't very tech-savvy, it would theoretically be best if it started automatically in the morning and turned off automatically in the evening, but that's not so important.

Best regards

EDIT: Even better, such a media box seems to be the ideal solution for you: https://amzn.eu/d/h7CxnBo (which came as the first Google result, no idea whether the specific is good).

If a computer or laptop is permanently close, then a Miracast adapter would help. You can then stream from any Windows device (even Android devices) wirelessly to the beamer. This is then a small device that is simply connected to the beamer with a HDMi cable and then needs a simple power supply.

But if you have such a high-tech beamer, it might even be able to do so.

The only thing the employees would have to do would turn on the beamer in the morning and open the video on the computer/laptop.

But if the beamer does not yet exist, a simple TV would be the better choice.

That’s right. Simply enter the box via HDMI into the beamer and the stick with the movie.

I think there is one (among other things to select and start the movie), but I don’t know that exactly.

If the beamer does not work wirelessly, you can only recommend an HDMI cable or HDMI wireless adapter.

Automatically turn-off and turn-on does not bring much advantage if the computer does not. I wouldn’t mind it now.

The easiest thing would be to teach colleagues.

MiniPC close, and to the beamer. Easy to run PC with video in continuous loop and turn off/on only beamers by remote control. Radio mouse and keyboard for remote control.

I would set a Pi Zero for 15€ (WiFi requires a Pi Zero W) on the beamer and let the video run over it.

For this, it only needs a free outlet near the beamer.
