Power 12V devices with battery/solar setup?
I would like to power 12V devices with as little power loss and as little voltage spikes as possible using a LiFePO4 battery charged by a solar panel. An MPPT solar charge controller is connected between the solar panel and the battery.
Which device or setup do you recommend to help me achieve my goal?
Is this a BlueSolar MPPT 75/10 or a controller of the company “Victron Energy”?
These have an output called “Load”
Here the consumer or distribution is connected to the consumers. A low discharge of the battery can be prevented by connecting all loads to this load output. The load output separates the loads when the battery has been discharged to a predetermined voltage value. Alternatively, an algorithm for intelligent battery management can also be selected: see Battery Life. The load output is short-circuit safe. Some loads (in particular inverters) can best be connected directly to the battery.
Think of a reasonable protection in case of a defect or short circuit.
