Pot too small for the amount of potatoes?
I use this pot (pictured) for 12 potatoes. My mother-in-law says the pot is too small for that many potatoes; they wouldn't cook in the small pot. She recommends using one twice as big. I've always cooked potatoes in this pot and have never had any problems with the cooking time.
Is the pot too small now or not?
The pot is right for the amount of potatoes. In pasta I could understand the statement, but not in potatoes.
The pot is full and not even all potatoes must be covered with water. Your mother-in-law should finally learn to cook.
the smaller the pot, the less energy you consume.
Potatoes not only cook in water but also in steam. Less water (of course, watch that nothing cooks and then burn the potatoes) is good for cooking potatoes and saves energy.
The pot is not too small. It fits perfectly.

It’s great! Potatoes just covered with salt water cover on it and cook.
If you let yourself be insecure, you don’t get that your man and his mother destroyed your life
The pot fits perfectly
Does your mother-in-law know why the potatoes are getting soft at all?
As long as there’s enough water in there, the keeper can tell a lot.
