Positive or negative, eezy.nrw app?
Good morning everyone,
Does anyone have experience with the eezy.nrw app? Since I'm considering canceling my subscription, it would actually be an interesting alternative, especially since it only offers advantages over the regular €49 ticket. It sounds too good to be true.
LG
I used eezy for a time within Cologne (in the meantime I have something like free rides). The financial advantage is especially for short distances where you can no longer use short distance tariffs (because over 4 stations), but the distance from start to finish is not great. Because the airline is taken off. By the way, it is capped to 49 Euros of the D ticket (nearly 58 Euros). It would also be an advantage if you cross the tariff limits, for example to Leverkusen or Bergisch Gladbach. There's a good jump in the normal fare.
I do not see other advantages over the German ticket. Especially not for many drivers and users even broader connections.
The disadvantage is, of course, the respective check-in and check-out. And even if you drive a long distance within Cologne, which is cheaper than a normal ticket (about the KVB app).
It is so that my mother, my brother and my best healer live far away, everywhere else and I rarely visit them. However, if you are already in price level D, which costs almost 40€ with 2 individual trips. Apart from these rare rides, I drive all the paths by bike. So, since I barely use the ticket, it's just lent money that I could use very well in other ways. Thanks for your answer ♥
Then just figure out what you're running on eezy.
No, no scam, all serious.
I already did. I'm talking about experience reports. Fear that this is a scam sounds too good to be true. Because you can only save it.
To add: I've been using the eezy app for several months and I'm pretty happy with it. Compared with the German ticket, it costs me less, and compared to the regular VRS tickets anyway. I often forget to check out, but it's not a problem, the app still corrects the track. If you drive several sections, you should not check out in between, but also take advantage of the ticket valid for many hours, as long as it makes sense – also rounding is correctly determined.
A disadvantage: the eezy app is very nice on the battery during a journey , as all the time must be active via Internet, GPS and Bluetooth. While you can go to flight mode with other ticket apps. So you should have a reload option ready to use, or otherwise you need to check the load before the ride and, if necessary, draw a normal ticket if you don't want to risk any trouble. 😉
Another small disadvantage: There is no GPS reception in a subway station, so you can't start a ride there. You have to do this before it goes underground.
Advantage: You can drive all over NRW without having to take care of different fares and pay a maximum price of (currently) 49 euros a month.
Disadvantage: You need to check in and out every trip in the app, and trips outside NRW are not possible (apart from some border areas).
I'm only driving occasionally, so I don't use the cover. On long distances with several transitions in Cologne, it becomes more expensive with the airline tattoo. The route Widdersdorf – Chlodwigplatz with transfer to Bocklemünd and Friesenplatz costs 4.07 EUR. With an online KVB ticket, this costs EUR 3.58. It therefore only brings something into the city area if you drive directly. In the eezy app there is one. You can therefore check before using whether it suits your personal needs.
