In the field of media design, the focus is on design/ layouts.
Create letter sheets, business cards, posters, advertisements, build your own website, Photoshop is also a topic. Join Adobe InDesgin, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat. Even better, depending on the subject, you should know yourself with various CMS.
These are the programs you should know and are available in most companies.
In the field of work, however, work samples are A and O.
Sell yourself, because that’s what you’ll do later in the profession. An application website always looks good.

Be creative;)
