Suddenly Wi-Fi privacy warning?

I've been using VPN a lot lately because I suspected someone had access to my phone. When I connected to Wi-Fi, it suddenly said "Privacy Warning." When I connected, this came up… does that necessarily mean someone is monitoring my phone, or could it be something else or a false alarm? And how can I get rid of this or prevent it?

That doesn’t mean that your phone is being monitored! Just that DNS requests are not encrypted. A monitor could see which pages you visit, but not their content.

Some browsers can encrypt DNS requests.

Probably had someone accessing my phone.

And what does a VPN do?

I guess the warning should mean that you can’t use a DoH or DoT right now, because something probably doesn’t support it (DNS resolver, VPN etc.).
