Plex can't find my music?
I wanted to set up Plex to bypass Sonos' 65,000 song limit, but even after scanning it several times, it still doesn't show any music in Plex.
Plex Media Server runs on my file server with Windows 10.
When scanning, I keep finding error messages in the console. Here's what the console entries look like for each scanned music folder:

He scans, finds something, but can’t write.
First Guess: Faulty permissions in the folders. Process cannot parse because it has no write or read rights to the folder.
I know this isn’t the subject. But very sweetly, try Linux at least. Get in there, make a bit, and after some frustration and complications you will be rewarded infinitely. Resource-saving, faster, more efficient, more transparent. But that’s just a sweet advice. The deeper you go through, in general, with such issues, the more important it becomes.
Thank you for your answer…
It works now. I restarted the box and now everything goes… I don’t know what it was.
To your tip with Linux. I’ve been dealing with this a lot of times, and I’ve already been dealing with some of the attacks on Linux. But every time failed. On the one hand, because I have too little idea of Linux in general and on the other hand because of lack of functionality.
I know Windows on a server is a Murks, but the Murks has been working more or less flawlessly for 20 years. Started with Windows XP, then Win 7 and now Win 10. Never really had a problem, except for Win 10 from time to time, where an update does something…
My biggest problem with Linux is that I need the server for many other things and not just unlock network drives on it. This is not possible with the typical NAS/Fileserver Linux-Distros, or only very cumbersome. In addition, I often use the server as a backup computer via remote desktop, for programs that do not exist on my MacBook or are better on Windows.
Unfortunately, Windows is becoming more and more problematic in terms of unattended operation and therefore, after Windows 10’s support, I will probably definitely not be able to get around Linux.
If there is actually a Linux at some point, then only one with full GUI, remote desktop support and all Schnikschnak ^^
