Please help with solving physics homework?
Good evening,
I'm currently trying to solve my physics homework but I can't find a solution.
The task is:
The resistances of two conductors with circular cross-section, equal length and made of the same material are 1:2. What is the ratio of the masses of the two conductors
Maybe someone with good knowledge of physics can help me.
Thank you in advance.
Resistance of a conductor with length L, surface A and specific resistance rho:
R = rho * L/A
R1/R2 = A2/A1 = 2
rho and L are identical, that is, line 2 has the double cross-sectional area of line 1 and with the same length and the same density also the double mass.
Thank you very much, now I’ve got the solution, but I didn’t really understand it,but I’m working on it.
Well, what did I think?
