Change Playstation HDMI socket?

Hi. I wanted to repair the PlayStation myself. But now I'm a bit confused. I couldn't loosen the old connection with a soldering iron… Now I've read that I should use a heat gun until the connections come loose. But I'm a bit worried that I'll damage the surrounding parts. 😀

My heat gun is set to 300/600°C. Can I really hold it there until the socket comes loose?

do not ventilate because we do not want to position a temperature shock on the components, and mainbord horinzontal (see for safety with a water level app on the mobile phone after just put it on it)

Yes, it is possible with a hot air gun. But other structural parts zb should be protected with tape to prevent soldering. I myself, however, have always brazed such things with desolation. Then enough flow medium on the solder points and newly brazed

No way with the hot air gun. It’s too rough, and it’s gonna be all the other ones to braz from the board.

And the soldering of the new socket is therefore difficult, since electronic soldering tines with flux are not suitable for being processed in this way (solving tines melt and burning flux before reaching the desired soldering point.)

Buy a soldering iron with fine soldering tip to solder the soldering points. They’re not that expensive.

If you can’t buy a soldering iron, but you have a soldering lamp available, you can do it by moving around: take an old screwdriver, grind the one at the tip and gently pick up the one with the soldering lamp (possibly indirectly at the shaft) until it starts to accept soldering tines at the front. Then dip the tip and hold it again briefly into the lamp. The screwdriver is now your soldering iron.
