Pilot Frixion rollerball pen. Disaster.

I write my report booklet with Pilot Frixion ink rolls. My report booklet was lying by the window for about a week where the sun was shining in. Now when I opened it, half of the pages that I wrote with the pen have been erased. What could be the reason for this and has anyone had any experience with this?

The ink of the friction pin does not go through the etching, but through the heat generated by the friction with the rubber. Therefore, the ink is not heat- and light-resistant. ABER: Put your book into the freezer for half an hour. Sometimes the written comes back!

That’s because you don’t really wake up the font, you just heat it up, so the color disappears. So the color has disappeared through the warmth of the sun.

If you put the booklet in the freezer for a while, the font will appear again – but also the places you have straightened out.
