Forgot the pill, took another one?
Hello, on Monday (2 days ago) I had the problem that I couldn't get home and couldn't take my pill.
I slept at a friend's house and she gave me one of hers, but it's a different medication. I take Sibilla, and she takes Asumate 30.
The following day, I took both the missed pill and the regular pill.
After that I only had sex with a condom, but today it somehow happened that it didn't sit properly and came off.
Even before I forgot to take the pill, I had sex without a condom. Although I always pulled it out beforehand, that alone isn't particularly safe.
I am now afraid of being/becoming pregnant. Can anyone tell me whether the risk is very high or whether the other pill might have some effect.
Oh, the pill was forgotten in the first week after the pill break
The active ingredients of your sibilla are 2 mg of dienogest and 0.03 mg of ethynylestradiol, but those of ASUMATE 30 are 0.15 mg of levonorgestrel and 0.03 mg of ethinylestradiol – i.e. another gestagen.
There will probably be only one pharmacologist who will be able to give you information about possible influence on the effectiveness.
However, not every error leads to loss of protection. If we disregard the wrong pill, it depends on which week the error has happened and, of course, whether you correct it (e.g. by adjusting the intake scheme).
Surely you will also find in the use information of your pill under“If you forgot to take XY”exactly explains what to do if or when you are protected again and whether there is the possibility of pregnancy and emergency prevention is necessary.
Happy for you!
With the other pill, I am not sure what I know, but whether you forgot it a day before you can’t “take it off” you have to leave it out and take it as usual.
How do you relate your knowledge? Without exception, every package leaflet recommends to take it after forgetting a pill in the first or second week.
From my female doctor
I used to be in England and had forgotten it on a day and the next just took 2 then I packed the whole bus
